Portrait of private Lloyd Walter Young, photograph, ca. 1916. ph 36846: Private Lloyd Walter Young, ca. 1916. This original photograph was taken from a plaque in the Museum collection. The plaque was made as a WWI memorial for the donor's uncle, Private Lloyd Walter Young (born March 20,1894). He died of wounds on April 2, 1918 at the age of 24. He is buried at the Doullens Communal Cemetery in Somme, France (Extension I). He was married to Mary Beatrice Loughead (born 1897) of Belwood on September 9, 1916. |
