Drayton fire insurance plans, 1885-1904. THE FOLLOWING ARE COLOUR PHOTOCOPIES OF INSURANCE PLANS ALREADY IN THE COLLECTION; THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE SAME MAP NUMBER, WITH THE SUFFIX "A", AND ARE STORED WITH THE ORIGINALS. Photocopies of fire insurance plans for the village of Drayton, Ontario, 1885-1904; they show residential and commercial buildings covering the area of the Conestoga River east to Edward Street, and from just south of Spring Street north to the Wellington Street bridge; each includes key; hardcover binding. - MAP 2078A: Drayton, June 1885; by Charles E. Goad C.E. of Montreal; at a later date additional buildings were sketched in in pencil along Wellington Street. - MAP 2079A: Drayton, May 1894, revised to May 1899; by Charles E. Goad, C.E., of Montreal; includes separate inserts showing flour mill and showing railway station area; originally addressed to A.C. Woodman Esq. of Drayton, Ontario; written in a later hand, "Frank Brandon", "1899", and mathematical calculations. - MAP 2080A: Drayton, May 1894, revised to May 1904; by Charles E. Goad, C.E., of Montreal and Toronto; includes separate inserts of the station grounds and the flour mill; on cover, "Drayton, Ont / The property of the Union Assurance Society to be used for their business only..."; hand written on cover, "1904", "R P Brandon", and "Frank Brandon". |
