MAP 583: Plan of Belsyde Survey, Park Lots 1 through 16, severed from A.D. Ferrier's large "Belsyde Farm" property in Nichol Township, adjoining Fergus; each Park Lot number is identified, and the acreage of each lot is specified; hand drawn in black ink by W. Grains [or Graine], Public Land Surveyor; undated [ca. 1855]; most lots have red check marks drawn on them; Park Lot 5 has "cemetery" written across it. Park Lot 3 has a square drawn on it, likely indicating the location of A.D. Ferrier's house, called Thistlebank. Streets identified are Belsyde Avenue, Princess Street, Union Street, Scotland Street, Thistle Street, River Street, Wellington Street, and Albert Street. Written in pencil on Park Lots 4, 8, 11-12, and 15-16, then partially erased is the name "Geo Stewart". Park Lots 6 and 7 have dollar amounts written on them in pencil. |
