Description |
Postcard sent to Rantoul family of Mount Forest with picture of London - Westminister Abbey, St. Margaret's and Big Ben clock in London, England with note from Agnes Baden Powell on reverse "3 Redcliffe Street. S.W.10. July 25th 44 My dear kind Hostess A little line? to show you we are not all demolished yet, but these pilotless Bombs are very trying. They come screaming past incessantly every 20 minutes or so. Still I stick to my Guides and my Red Cross work and the comforts for the Troops and Hospitals. I now visit 2 hospitals for crippled Guides, and I was so much interested to hear all you have been doing so splendidly for Guides. I wrote to Stella to thank her for the journal of the I.O.D.E, of which I have the honour to have recieved a Badge. I hope so much you are both keeping well. My best wishes to you and Charlie. I am very well. Always yours affectionately, Agnes Baden-Powell." |
