Black and white post card; Looking across concrete bowstring bridge towards homes and hydro pole. Identified on back as "New Bridge to C.P.R. / John Street". Postcard was written from Elizabeth King, Harriston to "Elmer", 19 February 1918. Elmer may have been overseas during the First World War at the time. Card reads: "Dear Elmer - This is a little 'pass-around' for you & the boys". Hope you will enjoy it. Some friends of the boys [???] at our house, & gave a little 'shower treat' for our boys in Hospitals. Hope you will soon be home. Alex Donaldson is in Lidcup Hospital. With lots of love Sincerely Elizabeth King" |
