Description |
Autograph book belonging to Alpheus Byerly (1894-1960). Entries begin "Christmas Present from Mother, 1906" and continue with entries mostly from Anamosa, Iowa (1908) and Longmont, Colorado (1910, 1912, 1916). One entry, "Dear Doc" is signed "Pat", Moose Jaw, Sask. Canada, 27 Sept. 1942. Padded cover, with glossy print of man with scythe and woman with rake, in front of thatched cottage, next to water. On reverse, inside front cover, stamped impression "Pat. Oct. 11 1899". Alpheus Byerly was born in Anamosa, Iowa, 9 Sept. 1894 and died in Guelph, 8 June 1960. |
