Black and white glossy print of the tombstone of Clarissa Evans. Stone reads, "In Memory of Clarissa Eugenia Evans, The Beloved wife of John McLean, Esq. Formerly of the Hon Hudson's Bay Co. who departed this life on the 6 of May 1858, ae 32 years". Written on the back of the photo in A.E. Byerly's handwriting: "Monument over the grave of Clarrissa Eugen Evans, daughter of Rev. James Evans and wife of John McLean, discover[er] of Grand Falls of Labrador in the Guelph Cemetery". |
