Preiss / Price family genealogy, Minto Twp., 2013. Compiled by Anne E. McIsaac. Traces the descendents of Johann Heinrich "Henry" Price (Preiss) Jr., b. 21 June 1834 in Nieder-Ofleiden, Hessen, Germany, d. 3 March 1912 in Cocordia, Cloud County, Kansas. Henry married Margaret Katherine Hauck, b. 4 May 1836 in Oberseebach, Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France, d. 23 November 1927 in Clay Center, Clay County, Kansas. They were married ca. 1858, probably in Wilmot Twp., Waterloo. Henry and Margaret lived at Lot 38, Concession 18, Minto Twp., 1867-1883. Includes copy and transcription of "Typical Pioneers in the Latter Seventies" written by Berniece Miller when about 14 years old, ca. 1923, after talking to her great grandmother, Margaret Price, who was living with her daughter, Katherine Price Mead Young in Junction City, Kansas. |
