Thompson family file, 2017. Folder contains genealogical material relating to the descendants of Luke Thompson and Sarah Piggin of Derbyshire, England. Luke Thompson and Sarah Piggin were married in South Normanton, Derby, England on 04 December 1809. The pair had the following children, some of which immigrated to Canada; - William Thompson (1810-1883) of Puslinch, who married Phoebe Harrison (1817-1892) - Joseph Thompson (1812-1896) of Nanticoke, Haldimand County, Ontario, who married Elizabeth Nuttall (1817-1896) - Thomas Thompson (1814-?) married Ruth Bailey - Anne Piggin Thompson (1817-?) - Jesse Thompson (1820-?) - Jane Thompson (1822-1905) of Guelph - Samuel Thompson (1824-?) of Nanticoke, Haldimand County, Ontario, who married Mary Ann Holmes (1823-?) - Joanne Thompson (1827-1920) of Welland, Ontario, who married James Pace (1826-ca.1870) - Luke Thompson (1839 - 1919) of the USA, who married Jane Hutchinson in 1861. |
