Fergus High School / Fergus District High School / Centre Wellington District High School, records, 1906-2004. The collection consist of slides, photographs and printed materials, documenting the history of Fergus High School, mainly at its location at the top of Tower Street from 1928 until the opening of the new Centre Wellington District High School on Scotland Street, 2004. It includes student publications (1915-1985); guest books (1928-1960); scrapbooks and clippings (1940-2004); specifications for the 1967 addition, and photographs and slides (1922-1990). One document, a family register for the Johnston family of West Garafraxa, has no clear connection to Fergus High School. It lists members of the Johnston family, West Garafraxa Twp., in columns headed: "Family Names; Born / When and Where; Married / When, Where & By Whom; Died / When and Where." The document lists the descendants of Andrew Johnston (1794-1869) and his wife Elizabeth Goodale (1792-1877), who included Joseph (1824-1865) and his wife Margaret Stewart (1826-1913); David Johnston (b.1854); Catherine Johnston (1856-1859); Andrew Johnston (b.1859); Adam Witherspoon Johnston (b.1861); Elizabeth Goodale Johnston (1863-1914); Joseph Johnston (b.1865).
