   Handquilted and sewn quilt in a honeycomb pattern, circa 1895. Sixteen rows of seventeen hexagons. Assorted fabrics (silks, cotton and wool) in solids, plaids and prints. The edging is a wool flannel cut in a scallopped design. The edges are left raw with holes punched in close to the edge. There are two layers, one is dark red and the other is brown.
