    Leather sporran (.01) with silver cantle that was worn as part of a Fergus Pipe Band uniform, circa 1929-1959. The sporran is oval-shaped and made of leather, with a silver cantle. It does not open. The cantle has an image of a stag's head surrounded by thistles.     Glengarry bonnet or cap worn as part of a Fergus Pipe Band drummer's uniform, circa 1929-1959. This cap is made of dark navy or black wool, with black ribbon trim on brim extending to form two tails at the back. It has a red, white and navy/black check band. The cap has no toorie or cap badge, but it appears that it may have once had both.

  5. 2016.18.4.02 - Buckle, Shoe Uniform, Band Uniform, Organizational Uniform, Pipe Band

    Pair of silver buckles (.01 and .02) dated during 1929-1979. These buckles are believed to be shoe buckles worn as part of the Fergus Pipe Band uniform. The buckles have a rectangular, curved framed that is decorated with a thistle design. The buckles are decorative in nature, they are non-functioning. A piece of metal on the back of the buckle has four holes to allow the buckle to be sewn onto a shoe. Stamped on the back is "MADE IN GT BRITAIN".
