Aluminum hair curlers consist of three pieces hinged together at one end. One tube-like piece of aluminum with holes goes with another shorter piece coming over the top to hold the hair in place, so that hair can be rolled around the tube. A wire closure fastens over all. The short curler is stamped "SOLO U.S.A.".

A woman's hair comb. It is made of plastic in variegated shades of yellow and brown, in an imitation tortoiseshell pattern. It consists of two semi-circular pieces (one with teeth, and one without) and two small pieces (4 cm in length), rivetted together at the ends. Each component can be adjusted at the rivetted point. The comb was used to hold a roll of hair at the back of the neck.
