    Men's military coat made of bright red woolen cashmere. The coat is knee length and double-breasted with nine pairs of silver buttons running down the front. Stand up collar and cuffs are embellished with black wool banding, silver and gold metallic thread appliqued trim, buttons, and white piping.   2. 2003.50.1 - Box

    Flat, rectangular tin box with a wire handle in the centre top. The top opens on both sides with hinged lids. There is a small metal loop to open both lids. The compartments are separated inside by a central side of black metal. Painted black inside and out, the paint is quite worn to reveal the silver-coloured tin. "Webster" written on a piece of paper attached to the tin.

  3. 2003.50.2 - Flash, Shoulder Patch

    Identified as a shoulder flash, circa 1850-1900. A flat, oval piece of multi-coloured tartan trimmed with a border of pale blue silk with two short tails of silk. There are also two pieces of the silk that cross the tartan to form an "X". The tartan is handsewn to a piece of thin oval-shaped cardboard to stiffen it.
