    A sterling silver, glass and brass pocket watch (.01). It has raised gold Roman Numerals and hands. The watch is inscribed with the initials "G.G." on the back. The watch has a small metal winding key (.02) and ring (.03).

  2. 1986.65.1 - Chair

    Wooden rocking chair, painted white, that is missing its seat. It has plain tapered back posts with four shaped slats and slightly fancier front posts that support curved arms. The chair has short rockers, dowelled seat supports and a single round of rungs, and is sturdy and pleasing in form. It may have been a porch chair. There is evidence of green paint underneath the white.

    Wooden chair with straight back that has been painted white and is missing its seat. It has plain tapered back posts with three shaped slats (the centre one is arched) and front posts that are not tapered. There are dowelled seat supports and a double round of rungs. The chair is sturdy and austere, but pleasing in form. There is evidence of green paint underneath the white, and the chair may have been used as a porch chair.

  5. 2000.1.1 - Book, Story Toy

    Child's cloth "rag book" made of linen, titled "Goosey Gander". Consists of six pages sewn with red thread to make a binding. Tops and bottoms of the pages are ragged and unhemmed. Inside are colour illustrations with nursery rhymes. Written in pencil on the front top edge: "John C.? Harper / Alma". Printed in ink on the front "Dean's Rag Books / Patented / London"

    Patchwork or pieced quilt made from recycled pajamas, circa 1925. It is made up of octagonal pieces of fabric. The pattern consists of eight rows of diamonds which are made up of blue, red and grey striped octagons on a white field. There are six diamonds in the top row, five in the second, six in the third, and this alternating pattern continues to the bottom of the quilt. Single octagons or partial diamonds surround the rows.
