  3. 2010.32.2 - Dress, Child

    Smocked dress made for a two-year-old girl, 1951. White polished cotton with short puffed sleeves, a 'peter pan' collar and nine round white buttons down the back. The yoke and back panels of the dress are embellished with red, blue, green and yellow smocking. There is also a band of smocking on the cuffs of the sleeves. The collar is finished with a trim of red blanket stitches.

  4. 2012.33.2 - Thermometer, Maple Sugar

    A brass and wooden Maple Syrup Thermometer dated circa 1930. The brass scale has inscribed numbers and letters. It is screwed onto the wooden backing. On the top of the metal component is "The Grimm MFG. CO. LTD/ Montreal QUE/ 1930." The scale is from "40 - 270." On the right side of the scale is "Made In U.S.A. / 13 LB. 3 oz. / Syrup/ Cake Sugar." Glass and metal thermometer is place in between the wooden pieces.

  5. 2012.41.5.02 - Container, Medicine

    A yellow, circular, metal pill container with a removeable lid (.01 and .02). Printed on the lid is "Gin Pills for the Kidneys..." The interior of the lid is lined with wax paper. The pill container reads "40 Pills/ These Pills Are Recommended for Lame Back, Irritation of the Kidneys or Bladder, Bed Wetting, Mucous Deposits in the Urine."
