    A rectangular, small silk banner (.01) known as a Canadian Service Flag, or Mother's Service Flag, dated 1918. The silk banner has a white background and is bordered in a wide red stripe.   4. 1983.25.1.02 - Suit, Bathing Swimsuit

    A bathing suit (.02) with bloomers (.01) dated circa 1912. The skirt (.02) is pleated into the waistband. The suit has a collar and short sleeves. Braided trim has been machine applied on the collar, front of the bodice, on the cuffs and the waistband. Five buttons make up the front closure. Four skirt buttons are fastened to the bloomers waist. Elastic is gathered on the legs. The suit was worn with 1983.25.2.02. It is machine sewn.

  5. 1997.21.1 - Pattern Square, Dressmaker's

    Green, L-shaped, metal dressmaker's square, patented 1916. The outer edges are straight; the inner edge is curved. Printed on the square: "The Picken Square / A System of Scales and Curves Designed for Use in the Dressmaking Course of the Women's Institute of Domestic Arts and Sciences". Written in ink on the square is "Mrs. G. J. Jeffrey".

    A hinged locket made from an original World War 1 brass military button. Flat circular brass plate added on rear and is engraved with the initials "E. D." Inside is a tiny circular newspaper photo of a soldier (Lincoln Brown); opposite side is a piece of blue paper.

    A 1945 "J.I. Case" model "LA" tractor painted orange with rubber tires on the original steel spoke wheels. The 6-volt battery is new (2011) and the tires are new (2009). It has a 4-cylinder in-line motor and is 54 horsepowered.
