Provenance |
The Lionel Electric Train Set was received by Terrance Luckett (died in 2008) for Christmas from Santa in the early 1950s in Etobicoke. "Christmas morning when we awoke and went down to the tree, the train was set up in the living room, and my brother was very excited. We spent all day playing with the train set and our parents had to force us to leave it to have our Christmas dinner. This was a special gift because most of the train sets were either wooden or windup." This train was a steam engine with a smoker on it to make it look as if it was burning coal. You had to put a pellet inside the smoke stack, and then it would smoke. The smoker has since been removed. |
