Description |
Silver loving cup-style trophy on wooden base. The base is made of wood that has been painted black. The base is hexagonal, rising with straight sides, then narrowing to a cylindrical form which supports the loving cup. A plaque affixed to the base is engraved "Aberfoyle Fair / 1922 / Won by / Mr. Carl Ross / for Best Agricultural Team" and the loving up bears the name and logo for the Canadian Bank of Commerce. |

Carl Ross, a farmer from Puslinch Township, won this trophy in 1922 with his Clydesdale team "Jess and Maude." Carl served as President of the Aberfoyle Agricultural Society in 1936. He married Bessie McCormick. |
