Provenance |
The plough chain hook was made by Duncan McCallister a blacksmith in Erin Township. He lived on Lot 20, Concession 10. Duncan was born in Argyleshire, Scotland and came to Canada in 1830. It was used by John Graham of Lot 21, Concession 11 in Erin Township. It is dated circa 1830. On the Graham family farm is a small cemetery. |
