Description |
A commemorative quilt made by the "Grand Quilt Guild" dated 2002-2009. The quilt is in the shape of the township of Centre Wellington. The boundaries of the township became the borders of the quilt. The focal point was the Grand River, which flows through the centre, and the green corners represent the lush rural surroundings of the township. A variety of buildings were pieced together onto the quilt representing important historic locations throughout the township. The project designer and developer was Jacqueline Tate. The site superintendents were: Esther Clark, Marnee Ewasko and Cecilia Smith. For more information on who helped with the construction of the quilt please refer to the label sewn on the back. |
