Description |
A magic lantern slide projector (.01) made by Victor Amatograph Co. of Cavenport Iowa and sold in Canada by Charles Potter. The main body of it is a large cylinder approximiately the diameter of a large juice can. The mid section has rows of holes in it. The front part of this section has the glass bulb and lens. Very simple operation with 2 stationary tracks and the sliding part has 2 slots so 1 slide can be changed while ther other is showing in front of the bulb. Extending from the can are 2 metal arms. Upwards from the end of it is the telescoping lens. Its overall length adjusts. A wooden box (1972.13.1.02) filled with glass lantern slides (1972.13.1.03-.023) that were used with this projector is stored in a separate location. |
