Provenance |
The New Groves Memorial Community Hospital was built at 131 Frederick Campbell Street, Fergus, ON and opened in August of 2020. Belonged to Robert Fleming, who worked at both the old and new Groves Hospital sites. He began his career there by answering a newspaper ad recruiting general labourers, nurses, doctors and pharmacists, etc. to work at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. He originally intended to work in the pharmacy, as he has pharmacy assistant training, but was put to work on general construction tasks due to his wide skill set in these areas (drywalling, painting, etc.) Robert worked on getting the new hospital ready from April to August 2020 and then renovating the old hospital site into a COVID-19 assessment centre from August until the end of September 2020. |
