Provenance |
Belonged to donor's husband's older sister Edna (Cullen) b. l894 and d.l995. She wore this dress when she was l8 or l9 years old. There were three sisters who did a lot of entertaining in the home. The father owned a music store so the girls would bring records home to try them out for dancing and parties. They lived on Frederick St. in Kitchener. The style of the dress does not correspond with the provenance. If Edna was 18 or 19 the dress would be worn in 1913. The style however is a 1920's dress which means she wore it when she was 26 years old. |
