A nurse's gown made of white cotton. The long-sleeved gown may have been used in surgery. It is gathered at the waist and has hook and eye fasteners at the back. The sleeves are fastened with dome fasteners. |
Provenance |
The nurse's gown belonged to the donor's mother, Viola Maude (Arbuckle) Tschanz. She was born in the North West Territories in 1904. Viola graduated from the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital School of Nursing in 1930. She married Charles E. Tschanz in 1931. She worked at the Groves Memorial Hospital during the 1950's. |
