Description |
A brass and white metal military cap badge, 1914-1918. The stamped silver-coloured white metal has three plumes and a scroll. In raised letters is "Ich Dien." Superimposed upon the plumes is a brass crown. Below the silver-coloured scroll is a stamped brass banner with "The Welsh" in raised lettering. The banner is soldered to the white metal. The badge has a brass clasp that is soldered on. |

The donor, Miss Lulu Calvert of Guelph, belonged to the Volunteer Aid Detachment and was stationed in Britain during World War I. The buttons and badges in this collection are from that period. Welsh. |
