Description |
Souvenir wall ornament, circa 1910, depicting a horse's head surrounded by a horseshoe. Mounted over the horse's head is a shield-shaped plaque embellished with an illustration of a skyscraper and "Hotel Elkhart, Elkhart, Ind." The ornament has a star-shaped hole on the back for hanging. |

The souvenir was made by George Maud, owner of Superior Barn Ltd. in Fergus, where farm and kitchen equipment were made. It is unclear as to the relationship with an Indiana hotel but Mr. Maud may have had contracts across Canada and the United States. |
