Belonged to the donor's late wife, Jean (Hindley) Fydell, who died in 1999. She grew up in Eramosa Township, the daughter of Annie (Cox) Hindley and James Hindley at Lot 24, Concession 5 Eramosa Township. The coverlet was first given to Annie by her mother Jane (Green) Cox, also of Eramosa Township. Jane was married to Thomas Cox. Woven by Daniel Knetchel, who emigrated from Pennsylvania to Waterloo County after the U.S. Civil War. |
