Description |
A pair of black leather policewoman's boots (.01 and .02) dated before 2013. The high ankle boots have eight pairs of eyelets with two black fabric laces for each boot. The soles are rubber. The boots were worn as part of the policewoman's uniform. |

The boots belonged to the donor (born in 1959). She was the first female Staff Sergeant in Wellington County in 2008. The donor was hired by the Ontario Provincial Police as a police officer in 1991 and began her career at St. Thomas OPP station. In 1993, the donor was transferred to Woodstock OPP doing traffic and general investigative duties. Two years later, she was assigned to investigate the criminal wrong doings at the Grandview Training School for girls in Cambridge. However, by 1998, she returned to the Oxford County OPP doing traffic and general duties. In 1999, she was promoted to Sergeant and transferred to the OPP Communication Centre in London, Ontario, where she supervised the communication operators who dispatched all of Southern Ontario, including Wellington County. In 2008, she was promoted to Staff Sergeant and transferred to Wellington County OPP. |
