One arm holds the pencil pen nib and the other has a pointed based holding it in place. Both arms meet in the centre and they are covered by a blue plastic lid. On the outside is an adjustable screw. One of the arms extends backward where there is a blue painted metal ball at the end of the point. The items are all stored in a green plastic case (.016). The inside of the case is lined with foam and has cutout areas that fit the shape of each piece in the lettering set. The lid closes with a snap fastener. On the top is printed "Unitech" beside its logo. |

Provenance |
The lettering set was used and owned by Senior Planning Technician, Joe Carbone of the County of Wellington. Joe used it primarily when he was in school studying for a Municipal Planning and Development Technician diploma at Mohawk College in Hamilton from 1988 until 1990. Joe brought them to the County when he started his employment with the Planning and Development Department as a Planning Technician in 1990. However, the tools were rarely used on the job as the Planning Department used AutoCAD software to create and maintain maps. |
