Description |
Circular, white porcelain commemorative plate with broad pink border, gilt along the scalloped edge and multi-coloured decal in the centre. "For Liberty, Justice & Civilization / To Commemorate The Triumph of the Great War / Commenced Aug. 4, 1914 / Armistic Nov. 11, 1918 / Peace signed June 28, 1919" and Grimwade's sign. The decal is of a dove with an olive branch, flags, portraits of a statesman and two military officers and three war scenes. The edge of plate is chipped. |
