Provenance |
The holder was made by George Maud, owner of Superior Barn Ltd. in Fergus, where farm and kitchen equipment were made. According to the donor, it was given to the Templin family by George Maud. When the donor's husband, Peter Templin, was growing up, it held toothpicks. His father Hugh Templin told him the face represented the Pope. The pope in 1903 was Pius X. |
