Moulding plane - for groove. Hardwood body. Front stamped "P. BUNT, W. MOSS", "WHEELER". Back stamped "INING 8". Poor condition. Cutter and wedge missing. Also man insect holes (treated). |

These were some of the carpenters tools belonging to Petherick Bunt (1805-1881), of Yeovill, Somerset, England. He came to Canada in 1839, settling in Vaughan Twp., York County. In 1848 he moved to Wellington Co. and settled near Alma, lot 16 S. conc. 9, Peel Twp.. He did carpentry work in first Methodist Church in Bloombury. He used these tools in the carpenter's trade through out his life, most of those years in this area. The donors were his grandchildren.
