Description |
Solid brass, hand-held, scissor-action candlesnuffer that sits on three legs with ball feet; rectangular box, with an arched roof, is mounted on one blade, upright plate mounted on the other; plate pushes into box when the handles are squeezed together. When the wick was trimmed, the burned portion was pushed into the box preventing it from falling into the candle. The pointed blade could be used to lift a fallen wick to permit trimming. Delicate curved handle with ring-shaped finger holes. |
