Description |
A metal toy steam engine (.03) with two metal components- a chimney (.02) and a pull-out tray (.01). The steam engine also has one page of instructions for its use (.04). The metal toy steam engine (.03) sits on a great metal base. On one side is the silver metal cylindrical water tank that sits on top a copper house molded in the shape of bricks. On the other side of the platform is a metal flywheel that turns as the water heats in the tank. Attached to the copper housing is a tall cylindrical chimney. It is made of the same copper in the shape of bricks. A pull-out tray (.01) with a a burgundy plastic handle slides into a compartment inside the copper housing and holds the tablets 2004.9.2.01. |

The steam engine was bought circa 1952-53 for the donor's son Jim Butler (born in 1953) in Etobicoke. It was probably bought at Eatons. The steam engine has been in the donor's home since 1989. |
