A red and white cotton Scout patrol flag, circa 1940-1960. It has a tie at the bottom. Printed in red, down the side of the flag, is "Wolf" with a wolf depiction in red. |

The Scout patrol flag was used by the 1st Fergus Scouts, circa 1940-1960. The 1st Fergus Scout troop was formed in 1928. The donor's grandfather, Simeon Holman (d. 2001) was involved in Scouting in Fergus since its beginnings in 1928. He was born and raised in Fergus. Simeon's son, Fred Holman (1928-2003) (and the donor's father) was born and raised in Fergus. Fred was involved in Scouting since the 1940s. He was a leader of the 1st Fergus Cubs, Scouts and Rovers. |
