From the home of the donor's great aunt, Mabel Annetta (Hoar or Hoare) Hussey (1901- ) who was born in Peterborough area and moved to Peel and Maryborough Twps in her teens. In Peel Twp. she lived with her married sister Margaret and taught school until she married Frank Hussey and moved to Maryborough Twp. Mabel's parents were Isaac and Ida Hoar or Hoare. Mabel and Frank had one daughter who died as an infant in 1929. Mabel's older sister Maggie was the donor's grandmother. The ring belonged to Mabel who attended Hamilton Normal School and taught at an elementary school until she married. |
