On the gift form, the donor wrote "Used by the late Alfred Stevens family of the 12th Concession, Peel Twp." They farmed Lot 8E Conc 12, near Goldstone. Alfred was born in England in 1855 and emigrated in 1883. He raised cattle and hogs. He married Katy Udy in England. They had six children, one of whom, Norman, was the donor's husband. |
