The prize ribbons belonged to the donor's mother, Velina (Saunder) Bauman (1917-1993). Her husband was Josiah G. Bauman. They farmed at Lot 33, Concession 8, Pilkington Township, near Middlebrook. Velina baked for the Waterloo Market and won prizes in 1953. Also, she baked for a little shop in Elora in the late 1950's before she baked for the Waterloo Market. Velina and her husband, Josiah, had five children. |
