The mittens (.01 & .02) were worn by the donor's mother, Mildred Mary (Munch) Clark (1914-2002), circa 1922-1924. Her parents were Harriet Augusta (Atkinson) Munch (1884-1968) and Harry Munch (died in 1929). They were married in 1908. Mildred grew up on Lot 30, front of Concession 9, the Badenoch area of Puslinch. In 1929, when Mildred was fourteen years old, her father, Harry Munch, died. After his death, she and her mother, Harriet Munch, continued to work on the farm. In 1947, Mildred was married to Benjamin Jacob Clark (1906-1992). Together they had two children: the donor (born in 1947) and John Clark (born in 1952).
