Autism fonds [Part 1 of 2], 1970-2003. -- 144 cm. PART ONE OF TWO RECORDS: The Autism fonds consists of records, 1970-2003, documenting efforts in the Guelph-Wellington-Waterloo area to establish and provide research, outreach, and development on autism, and to support autistic people, their parents, educators and care-providers. The greater part of the fonds consists of papers and files that Dr. Gerald Bloomfield and Dr. Elizabeth Bloomfield maintained as directors and officers of various autism organizations; they are not the official records of these organizations: SERIES 1: AUTISM SOCIETY ONTARIO [Incorporated May 1973 as the Ontario Society for Autistic Children (OSAC); from Sept. 1986, Ontario Society for Autistic Citizens (OSAC); from April 1991 Autism Society Ontario (ASO)] SERIES 2: WELLINGTON COUNTY CHAPTER, ONTARIO SOCIETY FOR AUTISTIC CHILDREN (OSAC) / AUTISM SOCIETY ONTARIO (ASO). SERIES 3: GUELPH SERVICES FOR THE AUTISTIC (GSA) and its project SERIES 4: GUELPH AUTISM SERVICES: RESEARCH, OUTREACH AND DEVELOPMENT (GASROD) and part of SERIES 5: WATERLOO-WELLINGTON AUTISM SERVICES (WWAS) The other part of SERIES 5, and all of SERIES 6 include the official records of Waterloo-Wellington Autism Services (WWAS) and its vocational project: SERIES 6: SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT ENHANCEMENT PROJECT (SEEP) SERIES 7 and SERIES 8 consist of reports and documentation, belonging to the Bloomfields, related to other organizations, and . SERIES 9 consists of documentation relating to this accession itself, written by Elizabeth Bloomfield.
