Elora, Fergus, and Winterbourne land valuations for Matheison and Allan; Elora Mill Account Book, 1845-1846 [Former title: Wheat Book (account - book) 1845 - 46] Book begins as a month-by-month account of grains purchased at the Elora Mill from 1845-1846, including the names of those who have purchased grain. The second part of the book contains detailed valuations of the lands and village lots held in Fergus, Elora, and Winterbourne by James Matheison and Charles Allan, who were early land speculators, as well as some notes outlining who purchased these lots from them. Below is a listing of the streets mentioned in Elora and Fergus: - Elora: Geddes Street, Metcalfe Street, Mill Street, Peel Street, Princess Street, Bruce Street, Melville Street, James Street, Mary Street, John Street, Chalmers Street, Queen Street, Ross Street, and Allan Street - Fergus: St. Andrew Street, St. Patrick Street, St. George Street, and Hill Street The book also contains notes on a rental agreement struck by Alexander Bain in 1861.
