Elora photographs, collection of Larry Magnus, ca. 1895-1908. Photographs that hung on the walls of Larry's Family Place barber shop in Elora, Ontario until it closed in 2020. - ph 56896: Bird's eye view of Geddes Street in Elora, copy print, original created ca. 1895. Accompanying note reads, "John Connon photo from church steeple," likely referring to the Church of St. John the Evangelist at 36 Henderson Street. In view is the east side of Geddes between Moir Street and David Street East. An arrow drawn on the image points to 203 Geddes Street. Photograph also provides a view of the building at 233 Geddes Street, which was at one time a furniture store. Larry's Family Place barber shop was later located on this block, at 227 Geddes Street. - ph 56897: Elora Citizen's Band, Elora, 1908. Outdoor group portrait, in uniform and holding instruments. Bass drum is painted with the name of the band. Black and white print, mounted on board, water damage including staining and buckling. Individuals identified underneath photograph as follows.
