The Elora Quarry on the south side of Wellington County Road 18 [Mill Street East], on the eastern edge of Elora, before Gerrie Road, and abutting the Grand River, as it appeared on 03 June 1974. After being retired as a quarry, the site was long used as a swimming hole and the Elora Festival later held concerts in the quarry placing attendees in bleachers at the top of the quarry, and the performers on a raft in the middle of it.
