The book looks at the founding of Elora; the construction of the home; its ownership under George Alexander Drew and subsequent owners such as the McGowan, Wardley, Denholm, and Dodington families; as well as its restoration and heritage status in the late 20th century under Roger Dufau and Kathleen Stanley. At the time of this description, the Drew House is serving as an inn. The book is centred around Drew House, but incorporates a broader history of Elora and the County of Wellington.
