The upper portion of the image along Gerrie Road shows the home of Paul Jarsky and Fred Gordon (house and 3 acres owned by Paul and Fred since 1998). The original farm on Concession 12 Lot 18, Nichol Township was purchased from the estate of Captain Gilkinson by William Gerrie (East half, 50 acres) and Robert Gerrie (West half, 50 acres) in 1837. The stone house [behind square area of trees, top centre] was built in the mid 1850s. James Keating Construction purchased the land beyond the stone house and 3 acres. Photo was taken by Michael Palmer from a hot air balloon. The home of Elysia DeLaurentis and Ernie Kalwa is indentified ("E & E"); also those beloning to families Putt; King; Conrad; Neely; Hammond; and Wettlaufer. |
