Elora, Fergus, Belwood, Erin, photographs, printed materials, ca.1875-1957. - ph 44558: Tintype. Studio portrait of Mrs. Christina Allan [1859-1950] (right) and her sister-in-law, Jemima Allan [died 1948] (left), ca.1875. They are "All dressed up (quite likely taken by John Connon)", ca.1875. [Henry James McNaughton, born 3 Dec. 1883, son of Dr. Henry McNaughton and Jane Masales McNaughton (nee Robinson) of Erin; see A1992.102 and A2008.21 [same donor] The following three b&w prints found within an envelope addressed to Miss A. Ferguson, Fergus, postmarked "Trossachs" [near Stirling, Scotland], June 1923: [Annie Ferguson and Francis ("Fanny") McGregor were cousins of Isabella Wright. The three women came to Canada in 1913 [see Museum accessions 1980.75, from the same donor]. In 1914, Fanny McGregor married Edward Clay of Fergus; witnesses were Annie Ferguson and Isabella Gordon Wright. Fanny died in 1918. Annie Ferguson, then 59, appears in the 1921 Census of Fergus as a housekeeper at the home of Edward Clay, Fergus. Fanny Clay (nee McGregor 1876-1918) and Ann Ferguson (1861-1954) are buried with Edward T. Clay (1883-1934) in Belsyde Cemetery.] - ph 44560: B&w postcard [part].
