Description |
The Yeomans family records consist of personal and business records of Mount Forest chemists, Lawrence H. Yeomans, and his son Horace Yeomans (1873-1968). Lawrence Yeomans established a drug store in Mount Forest in 1859, and later expanded it to include groceries and china. His son Horace ran a drug, grocery, and feed store until the 1940s. This collection consists of family photographs, newspapers [catalogued in separate record A1987.54], birth, marriage, and death records, and items relating to the Mount Forest Horticultural Society.
