    A buckle and buttons on the original card. Card has a picture of a fashionable young woman, art nouveau edging. The buckle looks like brass and pieces of paste. Four diamond shapes and sixteen multi-faceted, smaller pieces between them. Oval. Eight silver metal buttons.

    A length of narrow beaded trim; multi-coloured metallic cord embellished with clear beads along the scalloped edges and larger multi-coloured beads along its length (green, blue and pink).

    A V-shaped beaded bag with no lining or drawstring closure. Beading is in a diamond pattern; prdominantly deep red with highlights of silver. Gathered at bottom to create a looped beaded tassel.

    Off-white net with central panel in strips of alternating filet insertion and edging. Neck edge is finished with filet edging. Below lace is a large medallion; elaborately beaded black net with pearls and multicoloured beads. The top edge of the medallion is piped with green and pink satin. Three metal snaps on proper left side.

    Black jet, beaded, shoulder appliques (.01 & .02); fan-shaped with eleven-piece fringe; each strand ending in inverted teardrops. Other pieces of jet include seven faceted, dome-shaped pieces and eleven globe faceted pieces.

The back piece comes to a point in the center at the waist. The cape is open down the front with hooks and eyes. It comes to two points in the front and has cap sleeves with three pointed edges.   13. 1975.78.6 - Petticoat

    A woman's heavy white cotton twill petticoat, circa 1880. It has a single button fastener at the back. The petticoat has a dust ruffle and a medium length flounce with eyelet lace embroidery hand done in grape patterns.

  14. 1975.78.7 - Chemise

    A woman's white cotton chemise. Consists of two panels joined at the side seams, raglan sleeves gathered at the shoulders and extends over the main body to form a re-enforced gusset. Back panel is gathered to an eyelet lace edging. Single button closing at the center front, small square yoke is applied to the center front. Yoke consists of vertical stripes of drawn work, four simple and two more ornate. Eyelet trim on yoke, sleeves and neckband.

  19. 1993.24.12 - Valentine, Sailor's Trinket Decoration Souvenir

    Heart-shaped sailor's valentine bordered with purple velvet and embellished with shells; shells are glued on both sides. In the center of one side is a piece of cardboard painted with flowers and the words "Forget Me Not".
