Dense, rectangular, multi-lobed pincushion. Top centre is purple velvet embellished with raised clear beading in a bird and flower design. Velvet centre is framed by eight lobes; each embellished with solid beading in a leaf design; two leaves in each lobe; one in clear beads and the other in colour. Faded purple polished cotton backing is edged with clear beads at middle lobes only. Stuffing is presumed to be sawdust.
